Welcome To Refreshing Reiki
My greatest aspiration and mission in life is to continue along on my own self-healing journey – learning and evolving every step of the way – so that I may be of greater service and a healing partner for animals and people through treatments and instruction in energy healing using the system of Reiki. Being a huge animal lover and advocate, I endeavor to reach out to animal shelters and rescues volunteering these services as a SARA Practitioner – Teacher so that animals in need have Reiki as an additional tool to help.
To know Reiki, you must experience it. Words sometimes cannot possibly do justice for some things, and Reiki certainly falls into that category. Reiki has been and continues to be a key component in my own healing journey. I hope you take the opportunity to experience it for yourself, animals, or both!

|Reiki supports the body’s natural tendency towards wholeness.
“Reiki creates the space where healing possibilities exist.”
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) translates from the Japanese words Rei meaning “spirit” and Ki meaning “energy;” thus “spiritual energy.” Another common translation is “universal life force energy.” Some cultures refer to this energy as Prana, Qi, or Chi. It’s the energy that quantum physicists talk about and study. It’s the energy of ALL things.
Reiki is a system like Qigong and Tai Chi that enables a practitioner to access this readily available, infinite energy from the universe through easy to learn techniques. The system was developed by Usui Mikao in the early 1900s. Originally the system was used for spiritual development and is used today most commonly for “hands-on” healing. “Practitioners” of this system are not “healers” since we are neither using our personal ki nor manipulating the energy. It is the animal or person’s body that is taking and making use of the energy in their own unique way. All “healing” lies within.
Reiki is a gentle, yet powerful, holistic healing method for the mind, body, and spirit. It can do no harm and always goes to the highest good. Reiki is being used in hospitals, clinics, and hospices around the world. There is a growing body of research to support the efficacy of Reiki.
REIKI MAY PROMOTE:
- A Relaxation Response So The Body Can Heal Itself
- A Sense of Well Being
- Energetic Harmony
- Stress Reduction
- Relief From Pain & Symptoms
- Accelerated Healing of Illness & Injury
- Healing On The Physical, Emotional, & Spiritual Levels
- Healing doesn’t necessarily mean a physical cure; healing could mean a spiritual re-balancing before a being passes on
